Our Vision
The vision of the Foundation is to continue the inspiring works of Mary J. McCormick by bringing the love and “touch” of Jesus Christ to others and to enter into solidarity with the poor.Currently, there are two organizations in Colombia receiving financial support from the Mary J. McCormick Foundation. These organizations offer services primarily connected to the Foundation's mission of upholding human dignity by serving the needy.
- Asociación María, located in Barrio Juan XXIII, Bogotá, Colombia
- Fundación Social María de los Apóstoles, Hermanas del Divino Salvador (Sisters of the Divine Savior, Soacha, Bogotá, Colombia)
Our Programs
Some programs funded through the Mary J. McCormick Foundation:
Lunch Program:
The lunch program continues Mary's work daily by providing eighty children with a nutritionally balanced meal.
Nourished kids are happy kids
Visiting the Infirm:
In this program volunteers visit the bedridden on a regular basis bringing comfort, encouragement and assessing their needs.
Not all sickness is cured through medical attention
Sewing Program:
In this program volunteers help people learn marketable skills and clothe their own families.
Productive hands can earn self-worth
Scholarships:
Children receive assistance for books, supplies and tuition.
Just a little help from my friends
The Abuelos:
This program offers exercise and a social opportunity to share bread and hot chocolate with those the elderly have known for many years.
Elderly that continue a viable life are a gift to the community
